How long have you been writing letters?
Since 1988. A friend was lamenting about his mother's refusal to give him $75,000 his father left him and I thought I could get the money with some choice words. Two paragraphs. After reading them, his mother called and asked him to meet her at the bank. My friend got his inheritance, and I had a letter-writing business.
How does it work?
You tell me your story chapter and verse how you got to where you are and I'll come up with a draft. Then we'll revise it until it merits your signature.
Are your letters threatening?
No, they are direct. We're promising to pursue all avenues until final resolution.
Have you ever won in court?
Yes. You must be committed to go to court, but the idea is not to. People don't think you'll take the time to go after them and don't think you'll stay with it. We let them know right away we're going the distance. I believe that almost everyone, given the right opportunity and the right circumstances, wants to settle. I'll help you create the right climate for that to happen.
How much does it cost?
The minimum charge for a letter is $375. The rate is $75 per hour. By retainer. (When letters of collection involve significant sums, there is a flat fee for the letter and an agreed-to percentage commission on the monies collected.)
What do you need to begin?
A willingness to entertain a new approach.
